Take Action

Because Coltrane L.I.F.E. Center is a private, nonprofit service, we rely on support and contributions from caring folks in our community. Below is a list of items that the Center needs on an ongoing basis and a list of volunteer opportunities.  If you or your group can help us in any way, we would greatly appreciate it.

Needs List

• Decaf coffee and tea

• Coffee creamer

• Sugar-free cookies

• Whole wheat bread and saltines                

• Splenda/Sweet & Low

• Postage stamps

• Latex or nitrile gloves

• Cleansing wipes

• Disposable razors

• BINGO prizes

• Alcohol wipes, hand sanitizer, antibacterial liquid soap   

• Ziploc plastic bags                                      

• Laundry detergent

• Paper (photo, colored or white copy paper, legal pads, etc.)

• Paper products (napkins, paper towels, toilet paper, drinking straws)

• Walmart/Sam’s gift cards (for groceries/supplies)

• Gasoline gift cards (for transportation services)

• Silent auction items for golf tournament

• Fresh, canned, or frozen fruit

• Scholarships for participants (average $30/day or $360/month)

• Financial contributions for needed supplies

• Golf tournament sponsors, players, and/or auction items

• Newsletter sponsors ($500/newsletter)

Volunteer Opportunities

• Landscaping (spread mulch/pine needles, pull weeds, trim bushes, etc.)

• Wash and vacuum three vehicles used to provide transportation to participants

• Share talents with participants (hosting BINGO, leading music/Bible program, talking with participants, assisting with field trips or other activities at 10:30am, 2pm, or 4pm)

• Housekeeping (wash windows, mop floors, clean/sanitize chairs, shampoo/clean carpet, etc.)

• Painting interior walls in Center
